SKAViLLE JAPAN starts a new chapter towards its 30th anniversary!!
This year, we will also celebrate the 35th anniversary of CLUB CITTA under the title of “SKAViLLE JAPAN 2023 ~ CLUB CITTA’35th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL ~”!
The official pre-sale lottery starts this Saturday, 8th July. So don’t miss it!!
First, the US West Coast ska legend, “HEPCAT”, will make a miraculous first-ever appearance to Japan as a special guest. Definitely showing us an incredible live performance!
Next, we have the regulars like “Oi-SKALL MATES” and “RUDE BONES”, “BLUE BEAT PLAYERS”.Finishing up the recording for their new stuff, “Oi-SKALL MATES” are ready for long-awaited Mexico tour next year! Congratulation on their 30th anniversary! “RUDE BONES” has laid the foundation for Japanese ska core scene and we all eagerly anticipate their new developments. Also, “BLUE BEAT PLAYERS”, who is releasing a new 7-inch, following last year.
The Tokyo ska punk band, “AGE OF KID”, looking forward to the release of their new music!
“COPA SALVO”, king of Latin music! Experience the unique presence with their cool and stylish delinquent Latin sounds.“The DROPS”, a blue beat girl group, will finally release their highly anticipated new 7-inch. Continuing to pursue their distinctive sound, blending ska, 2-tone, punk, new wave, reggae, and dub, “THE REDEMPTION” After a long absence since 2013, “THE RUDE PRESSURES”, famous for their rough and tough sound. Captivating the audience with their dangerous charm and naivety. And “SKA FREAKS”, offers an appealing sound of aggressive ska punk blending with melodic elements.

The selectors are… “BOBO” from the best SKA event for long time in Japan, “CLUB SKA”, and the 20th anniversary of “UP&UP”. “Ippei” from the Jamaican music-centered party, “Version City” at the long-standing Organ bar in Shibuya and the “4REBELS”. This year, “OHJIRO” from ZIPLOC is again joining us from Fukuoka. And of course, with the regulars “Def Foundations”!!
